Prompt Framework

A repeatable shape for giving AI the context it needs for all questions and tasks.

The prompt is still yours. A framework just gives it a better frame, so you’re not staring at a blank box hoping the model figures out what you meant. We teach one called CRIT: context, role, interview, task. Context is the background, role is who you want the AI to act as, interview means it should ask questions when it needs more, and task is the actual job.

Think about an intake form at a doctor’s office. The form doesn’t diagnose you. It makes sure the doctor gets the basics in a consistent order: who you are, what’s happening, what history matters, and what question needs an answer. A prompt framework does that for AI. Most bad prompts fail not for lack of magic words but because they’re missing normal delegation details: who this is for, what you’re producing, what source material matters, what good looks like.

How it shows up

Instead of “write me a client email,” a framework gets closer to real delegation: here’s the client situation, act like a careful account manager, ask up to three questions if anything’s unclear, then draft a short email confirming next steps. Structure gives the model fewer ways to misunderstand you. The interview piece matters more than people think. A line like “ask us any questions you need to do this well” turns a one-way command into a short intake conversation, and it teaches you that you may not have given enough context yet. A framework isn’t a system prompt, which is a deeper standing instruction. It’s a pattern you use in the moment, and it can become a skill if you run it often. Keep it light: turn it into a ritual with twelve required fields and people stop using it.

Why you care

Prompt frameworks matter because AI quality often reflects delegation quality. A clear structure gives the model the same thing a good employee would ask for before starting real work. The best framework isn’t magic. It’s just a better intake form for the work.
